Headquarter, Sales office

At our head office in Uchikanda, employees from administrative departments, including Sales and Human Resources, are based.

We impress our customers with innovative ideas and first-class service. Sales representatives, who are experts in each of the four business units, work closely with technical services and global team members to support our customers in solving their challenges.

Tsukuba Site

Wacker Asahikasei Silicone Tsukuba Site offers technical support and product development to customers in Japan. The site includes production facilities for a wide range of silicone products, a technical center, and the WACKER ACADEMY.

Safety and Health Policy

We believe that the health and safety of our employees are our most valuable assets, and we are committed to ensuring their protection. Our goal is to foster a fair, collaborative, and rewarding work environment as the foundation of our workplace. By providing necessary and sufficient training, we empower every employee to fully utilize their abilities, act proactively, and take responsibility for their ideas. We continuously strive to optimize the workplace environment, prevent occupational accidents, and maintain a safe and healthy workplace.

Production Site

Operations began in 1995, and we utilize state-of-the-art equipment to produce silicone emulsion products, high-performance silicone oils, and a wide range of silicone rubber products, including HTV (High-Temperature Vulcanizing), RTV (Room-Temperature Vulcanizing), and LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber).

Our products serve diverse applications, from consumer care in cosmetics and household goods to automotive uses, including advanced electric vehicles, as well as industrial solutions that promote sustainability by enhancing process efficiency and reducing energy consumption.

As part of investment in the future, we are globally implementing a mid-term initiative called Future Silicones Operations, which emphasizes digitalization and automation while pursuing optimal processes.

In line with these efforts, we are proactively introducing cutting-edge, large-scale equipment and building new production lines in high-growth sectors, working hand in hand with our customers to shape the future.

Technical Center

The Tsukuba Technical Center is fully equipped to provide maximum support for our customers' application challenges. It features nine test labs with the latest equipment for all areas of research, evaluation, analysis, and new formulation development. We have established evaluation methods to create product formulations that will satisfy our customers. To manufacture high-value-added products that meet market demands, the continuous optimization of formulations is essential.

At the Technical Center in Tsukuba, we assist customers in achieving the best results from their applications. The center is equipped with instruments to evaluate the properties of products for a wide range of uses, including the automotive industry, household goods, textile industry, construction, Defoamers, sealants, and adhesives.

Quality Control

Quality assurance is the most critical factor for our company, and we have established an organizational structure that allows for close collaboration with our customers. Our activities focus on the needs of customers and the market, continuously monitoring and optimizing our business processes to meet their requirements.

Our goal is for our products and solutions to be the first choice for our customers.

WACKER ACADEMY

In the spring of 2017, a branch of WACKER ACADEMY—our globally established training center—was opened at the Tsukuba site.
Our seminar programs are designed to meet the sophisticated requirements of customers in Japan and to respond to individual needs.

In addition to classroom sessions and workshops, we offer hands-on training in our laboratories, enabling participants to experience the unique properties of our products firsthand. The focus is on specialty silicones for applications such as defoamers, thermal management materials, and silane-based solutions for the electronics industry. TÜV-certified trainers deliver tailored training both on-site and online, supported by technical experts as required.

WACKER Academy operates in 13 countries worldwide, leveraging our global network to provide local support for customers through regional affiliates.
