- 1983Jan.
- Wacker Chemicals East Asia Co., Ltd. is established in Minato-ku, Tokyo, as a joint venture with 75% investment from Wacker Chemie AG and 25% from Hoechst Japan Ltd.
- 1987Nov.
- Shizuoka Technical Center (Technical Center and Production site) is opened in Shizuoka.
- 1990Sep.
- The head office is relocated from Minato-ku to Shinjuku-ku.
- 1992Dec.
- Hoechst Japan Ltd. sells all its shares to Wacker Chemie AG.
- 1995May.
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) certification is obtained.
- 1995Jun.
- Rhone-Poulenc Silicone K.K. is acquired, and Akeno Technical Center (Technical Center and Production site) is established at the former company's site in Akeno,Ibaraki (currently Chikusei).
- 1997Dec.
- The Shizuoka Technical Center is closed and integrated with the Akeno Technical Center.
- 1999Oct.
- Asahi Kasei Corporation acquires 50% of the shares from Wacker Chemie AG, and the company name is changed to Wacker Asahi KaseiSilicone Co., Ltd. The company begins operations by succeeding in the silicone business of Wacker Chemicals East Asia Co., Ltd. The current Wacker Chemicals East Asia Co., Ltd. succeeds in the polysilicon business of Wacker Chemie AG.
- 2002Mar.
- A new liquid silicone rubber manufacturing facility is established at the Akeno plant.
- 2003Nov.
- The head office is relocated from Shinjuku-ku to Chiyoda-ku.
- 2007Sep.
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) certification is obtained.
- 2012Sep.
- The Akeno plant is renamed the Tsukuba Site. The site is expanded, and a technical center is opened.
- 2013Oct.
- The production capacity of the emulsion manufacturing facility has increased.

- A new lab dedicated to consumer care is being established at the technical center.

- Wacker Academy is open at the Tsukuba Site.

From Joban Expressway: Approx. 1 hour from the Sakuratsuchiura Interchange or approx. 45 minutes from the Tsuchiura-Kita Interchange.
Route 1 (From Sakuratsuchiura IC):
- Head towards Tsukuba.
- Turn right at Sasage onto Gakuen-Higashi-Odori.
- Turn right at the "Tsukuba Akeno Industrial Park" sign (there is a right-turn lane).
- Turn right onto Route 125, then turn right again at the second traffic light.
Route 2 (From Tsuchiura-Kita IC):
- Head towards Tsukuba/Shimotsuma.
- At the Uchimachishita intersection, bear left as the road curves.
- Turn right at the "Tsukuba Akeno Industrial Park" sign (there is a right-turn lane).
- Turn right onto Route 125, then turn right again at the second traffic light.
- By Train
- Take the Tsukuba Express to Tsukuba Station. From there, take a taxi and tell the driver "Tsukuba Akeno Industrial Park."
